The Wesson Firearms Co. was founded in 1968 by Daniel B. Wesson, great grandson of Smith & Wesson co-founder, D.B Wesson. Dan Wesson started Wesson Firearms with the vision of building the best revolvers to ever be seen. Wesson’s philosophy was “You can never be fully satisfied. You can always make something better.” With this in mind, Wesson set out to make guns that were innovative, virtually indestructible and capable of match-grade accuracy straight out of the box.
The main focus of Dan Wesson was always revolvers, but eventually the company branched off and began producing 1911 ACP pistols, rifles, shotguns and ammunition. In 2005, the firearm company CZ-USA took ownership of Wesson Firearms. With over 60 years of experience, Dan Wesson CZ-USA pistols are regarded as one of the best small arms leaders in the world.
