I now carry this piece of equipment in the front seat of my crusier where I have access to it in case of emergency. The size and weight make it an idea tactical entry tool.

Solid hawk, reasonably sharp and easy to put a fine edge on. Handle and shank are solid. Have not thrown it yet, but it has the balance and feel of my throwing hawks, so I am confident it will throw well. "Spike" on the back could be very useful in a high stress situation. Sheath is well designed, drop out bottom is good for fast access. Belt loop could be larger, only drawback is that belt loop, it won''t work unless you have a narrow, thin (think nylon) belt. The hawk itself is excellent.
