I''ve always liked the 1911 pistol design and found this Armscor 1911 to be both affordable and reliable. I use this primarily for recreational shooting but wouldn''t hesitate to use it in a personal protection situation, that''s how much confidence I have in this pistol.

I bought this weapon because the price was right and have been pleasently suprised with its performance. Put 50 rounds throught it and works flawlesly.Very compairable to the weapon i used in the military. i would recommend it to my friends.

Purchased this handgun after reading several reviews about it. Yook it out to the range this morning and had a ball. Fired 150 rounds thru it with nary a problem. Would recommend this weapon to anyone looking for a quality inexpensive firearm. Only thing wrong with it is it''s made in Phillipines, just as good if not better than some American made weapons.

I recently purchased the Armscor Rock Island 1911 Pistol, 54121, Parkerized, .45 ACP, 8RD, 5", FS, Wood, from TGSCom and was immediately impressed with both their service and quality of this weapon. I had the opportunity this week to go to the range and fire it. I ran 160 rounds of Remington .45 ACP,FMJ thru it with no problems. The weapon was a blast to shoot and although I had rather large 5" groupings, I think that was because I had not fired a handgun since my military days. I must note that the groupings were in what is refered to as the kill zone (2nd ring around bullseye). I would recommend this weapon to anyone looking for an inexpensive quality firearm. I enjoy this pistol so much that I ordered the tactical version from TGSCOM.

I am very pleased with this weapon. It appears to be made to the original specifications. The parts were smooth and clean. Shoots fantastic. Perfect for Wild Buch Cowbay Action Shooting. Price was terrific for the product received.

I bought one of these pistols and liked it so much that I bought a second one. These are well made and give the person who wants a GI 45 auto a taste of the real thing. I have three Colt 1911''s and can compare them favorably. I don''t like the grips much. The ad here says they are plastic. They are actually smooth wood. A set of double diamond grips really looked great on both pistols! The sights are very small. The price is terrific! The pistol does have two modifications from a standard 1911A1. The magazine well is slightly beveled to aid insertion of the magazine. The ejection port is cut to enlarge it and a small bevel is cut to prevent the ejected case from hitting the port. I had two of my Colts modified by a machinist to improve the ejection port this way. You get that for free on the RIA pistols. Great pistols!

This is my first ever 1911. I''ve already taken it to the range and it functioned flawlessly. I replaced the grips with some darker wood Hogue Coco Bolo diamond grips that dramatically improved the appearance. This is an awesome pistol at an awesome price. I am very pleased with this purchase.

A very nice, solid gun. Fired 50 rds of Tulammo & 50 rds of Remington so far and all fed w/o a problem. A nice case came w/it. Pistol arrived @ my FFL dealer in about 5 days.I knew the grips weren''t much so I had a new set of Coco Bolo double diamond grips ready before I even got the gun. They make a big difference in the way the gun looks and handles. Definately a good buy for the money.
