These patches work well in combination with the Otis cleaning rod. Most of the time you can indeed use each patch 6 times (unless your gun is excessively dirty). Up to .357 caliber one patch will suffice, but for my .44 I definitely need two patches at the time (but afterwards you can flip them outsides-in, so you can effectively use the two up to 12 times, so you''re not losing cost efficiency).
